Not a Sneaux Ball's Chance in Hell

Eat your heart out at La Petite Sophie Patisserie.

La Petite Sophie Patisserie
9047 Jefferson Hwy.
River Ridge

The closest you usually come to seeing snow is when there's too much powdered sugar on your beignets.

Make it double the flaky pleasure at La Petite Sophie Patisserie, the perfectly delicious pop-up in the former Chez Rue Rene space. Run by Lya and Jeff Becnel, whose combined culinary prowess spans Le Cordon Bleu to Commander’s Palace, here you'll delight in pastries both sweet and savory baked fresh daily. Served Tuesday - Saturday from 8 a.m. until sold out (or 3 p.m.), you can swing by for fruit tarts, modern takes on classic New Orleans treats as well as unique twists like "beignants," a cross between a beignet and a croissant filled with white chocolate lemon curd cream. Mardi Gras inspired must haves include their signature Brioche King Cake and Galette des Rois.

Keep warm from the comfort of your calories.
